DIGITAL & PHYSICAL PAINT

Her art is usually created by repeatedly digital painting, printing, physical drawing and scanning, traveling through the digital and real worlds to become a single work of art. She uses an iPad for digital painting, creating hundreds of layers of detail. After the final printing, she paints over the prints with acrylic paints. The detail in the painting, done with small brushes, is mesmerizing to the viewer. All of her art works are based on the word “Akatsuki (Breaking dawn)”. It is the beginning of the day, the place where darkness and light meet. It is fleeting and beautiful. Without darkness, it is difficult to shine. Negative and positive, morning and night, past and future, they loop together and we are shining.
